One business owner

had a big VAT problem,

due to a VAT penalty

issued by HMRC.

HMRC had hit him with

a penalty that was costing

him a lot of money, now

he was in arrears.

HMRC was threatening

to seize equipment - and

so this would be the end

of his business.

His accountants did

nothing - so we filed an

appeal to stop HMRC

seizing equipment.  

Then we discovered

that HMRC had failed to

properly investigate

the tax situation.

This gave us grounds

for an appeal - which we

very quickly won.

So this wiped out any

liability, plus we got back

£8K or so that he should

never have paid.
